A central cartouche in guilloche work contains the denomination TEN YEN in large serif capitals, with the qualifying clauses IN JAPANESE CURRENCY and AT ANY OF ITS BRANCHES IN COREA inscribed below in graduated lettering. Japanese and Korean text panels appear at right, and a kanji denomination character 拾 is set within a decorative frame at left; a red specimen overprint 見本 is applied diagonally. |
