At right, an oval portrait vignette presents a distinguished male figure in Western dress, identified as a senior Japanese banking official. To the left, large kanji characters denote the denomination 拾圓 (Ten Yen), with vertical Japanese text setting out the redemption obligation. The issuer's name in kanji — 株式會社第一銀行 — appears at upper left, alongside serial number panels and a red specimen overprint (見本). |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse is printed in a warm reddish-brown ink and carries the bank's name Dai-Ichi Ginko Ld. in bold ornate lettering across the top, beneath which the promise clause reads Promises to Pay the Bearer on Demand. A central cartouche in guilloche work contains the denomination TEN YEN in large serif capitals, with the qualifying clauses IN JAPANESE CURRENCY and AT ANY OF ITS BRANCHES IN COREA inscribed below in graduated lettering. Japanese and Korean text panels appear at right, and a kanji denomination character 拾 is set within a decorative frame at left; a red specimen overprint 見本 is applied diagonally. |
