| Obverse description | The obverse carries a typeface-printed text block at centre declaring this note as Emergency Currency of ONE HUNDRED PESOS, issued for the United States of America, Commonwealth of the Philippines, under authority of U.S. Congress and by proclamation of President F.D. Roosevelt, redeemable by the Government of the United States through the Philippine Government after the War. A small circular portrait vignette of a military officer appears at the left, and a patriotic 'V for Victory' eagle emblem is printed at the right. The denomination P100 and date Feb. 22, 1942 appear in the upper right, with a serial number prefixed 'No' at the lower centre, flanked by two manuscript signatures above the printed titles 'Captain, U.S. Army' and 'Major, U.S. Army'. |
