| Obverse description | The centre-right of the obverse carries a vignette of the Shaat Gambuj Masjid (Mosque of Sixty Domes), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, rendered in pink intaglio against a guilloche underprint. To the left, the National Martyrs' Memorial at Savar is illustrated in a linear architectural style, flanked by the large numeral '100' in brown at upper left and its Bengali equivalent at lower left. Bangladesh Bank has issued several distinct 100 Taka types across the P#44 series span, and the 2005 date falls within a transitional period when the security thread specification was upgraded from a plain embedded strip to a windowed thread — though not all notes dated 2005 carry the later thread, depending on print run. Worth checking under transmitted light before cataloging as the later variant.
The signature on the note identifies the Bangladesh Bank Governor in office at signing, which for 2005 issues was Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed, appointed that year.
