背面描述 Full-length armored effigy of Admiral Yi Sun-sin (Lee Sun Sin) standing facing, clad in traditional Joseon military armor and helmet, holding an upright sword in his right hand and a shield at his left side. To his left, a turtle ship (geobukseon) is depicted amid billowing smoke and turbulent waves, evoking his celebrated naval victories. The legend 'REPUBLIC OF KOREA' curves along the upper rim, while 'ADMIRAL SUN SIN LEE' arcs along the lower rim, both separated by dash stops. The admiral's life dates '1545 - 1598' appear in the lower central field beneath the figure.

附加信息

South Korea's 100 Won series went through a quiet but significant compositional shift in the early 1970s, when silver was abandoned in favor of cupronickel for circulating issues. The 1970 .999 fine silver strike exists in a transitional space — produced as the Bank of Korea was already planning the move away from precious metal coinage, making the silver issues from this period short-lived by institutional design rather than low mintage alone.
