| 表面の説明 | Facing bucranium (ox skull) garlanded with a dotted wreath or floral garland, rendered in bold relief against a plain field. The skull is depicted frontally with prominent horns splayed to either side. Scattered pellets surround the central device, possibly representing decorative elements or a border treatment. Adada was a small city in Pisidia, a mountainous interior region of Asia Minor that resisted Hellenization longer than its coastal neighbors and retained a fiercely local character well into the Roman provincial period. Civic bronze issues like this one were struck autonomously, filling the gap left by the absence of royal or imperial coinage at the local transactional level. The SNG France reference places this firmly within a documented series, though the century-long date range reflects the genuine difficulty scholars face in attributing undated Pisidian civic bronzes without epigraphic anchors.
