Obverse description The obverse is printed in black and orange-pink tones, centred on a large intaglio vignette of a seated allegorical female figure reclining beside luggage and barrels, with a harbour scene and sailing ships in the background. Large ornate guilloche numeral '2' panels flank the central vignette on both sides, with the bank title 'BANCO DEL ECUADOR' in bold lettering across the top. Capital and company details appear in the upper corners, with the place and date 'GUAYAQUIL, Enero 2 de 1911' inscribed below the central vignette alongside the denomination 'VALE DOS SUCRES' and signature lines for the Gerentes.

Reverse description The reverse is printed entirely in orange-brown tones and composed of an intricate, symmetrical guilloché pattern with elaborate scrollwork and floral rosettes radiating from a central cartouche. The central cartouche bears the three-line inscription 'BANCO DEL ECUADOR GUAYAQUIL' in bold serif lettering, flanked by large white-on-orange numeral '2' devices on either side. The printer's imprint 'American Bank Note Co. New York' appears in small text at the lower centre.
