| 正面描述 | The obverse features the national coat of arms of Samoa at centre, depicting a quartered shield bearing the Southern Cross constellation and a coconut palm, surmounted by a radiant cross, and flanked by two olive branches forming a wreath. A scroll below the shield bears the national motto in Samoan. The country name SAMOA is inscribed in the upper field, the denomination 2 TALA appears in the lower field, and the date is divided as 20 and 18 to either side of the arms. The design is framed by a continuous beaded border. |

Samoa's bullion and collector silver program has leaned heavily on marine-themed issues since the 2010s, targeting the Pacific rim collector market where such subjects carry obvious regional resonance. The seahorse series in particular was produced by the Mint of Poland on behalf of the Central Bank, part of a broader wave of sub-$50 face-value silver issues that Samoa — like Niue, Palau, and Tuvalu — licences out to European mints for global distribution.
The face value is nominal; no 2 Tala coin ever meaningfully circulated in Apia.
