| Description de l’avers | The obverse is dominated by a central intaglio vignette of a classical allegorical female figure standing beside a globe and an anchor, set against a fine guilloche underprint. The bank title EL BANCO INDUSTRIAL arcs across the top in bold letterpress, with CARTAGENA - COLOMBIA below, and the denomination VEINTE PESOS ORO LEGAL in an ornate panel at centre. Coupon tabs with years ranging from the 1920s through the 1960s border the note on three sides, indicating its mortgage-bond character, with the series designation SERIE B and the imprint of the American Bank Note Company at the foot. |

The left panel announces interest terms of 4% per annum payable in arrears from the date of issue, while the central and right panels reproduce key clauses of the contract between the Gobierno Nacional and the Banco Industrial dated 18 de Mayo de 1918, citing Ley 24 de 1905 and Ley 108 de 1919.
