| 正面描述 | At centre, a front-facing portrait vignette of President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi is flanked by the national arms; a mountain vignette appears at lower centre and a rose motif at right. The denomination TWENTY SHILLINGS / SHILINGI ISHIRINI is rendered in both English and Swahili, with bilingual issuer inscriptions CENTRAL BANK OF KENYA / BANKI KUU YA KENYA framing the composition. The note bears a facsimile signature of the President and a legal tender declaration for the Board of Directors. |

| 备注 |
Cheserem's appointment as CBK Governor in 1993 came as Kenya was under significant IMF and World Bank pressure over governance reforms — aid had been suspended in 1991, and the central bank itself was implicated in the Goldenberg scandal, a fraudulent gold and diamond export scheme that cost the country an estimated 600 million US dollars. This note circulates from within that turbulent period, signed by a governor brought in partly to restore institutional credibility.
Thomas De La Rue's watermark security on this series was relatively modest for the mid-1990s, and the 20-shilling denomination was later replaced by a coin in 1998.
