| 备注 |
Tajikistan adopted the somoni in 2000, replacing the Tajik ruble at a rate of 1000:1 following a decade of post-Soviet economic collapse and civil war that had rendered the ruble effectively worthless. The somoni itself was named after Ismoil Somoni, the 9th-century Samanid ruler claimed as a founding figure of Tajik national identity — a deliberate political choice by a government still working to establish cultural legitimacy after the 1992–97 civil war.
The 3-somoni denomination is an uncommon face value by international standards, reflecting the fractured purchasing power environment of the early 2000s Tajik economy. Giesecke & Devrient have handled Tajik banknote production across multiple series, with the Leipzig facility responsible for this 2010 print run.
