This series ran across two signature combinations, with David Saul's name appearing on the 2000 dated notes; Saul had previously served as Premier of Bermuda before resigning in 1997 following a political crisis, making his presence on currency a somewhat pointed reminder of how quickly reputations shift in small-island governance.
