| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in brown and olive-green tones on an uncoloured paper ground, with a fine geometric guilloche border framing the entire face. A central medallion carries an ornate circular vignette with Arabic script identifying the Azerbaijani Republic, flanked symmetrically by arabesque cartouches bearing the numeral 50 in stylised Perso-Arabic script on the left and the numeral 50 in Cyrillic-accompanied Western numerals on the right. The Cyrillic header АЗЕРБАЙДЖАНСКАЯ РЕСПУБЛИКА runs along the top margin, serial numbers and series designation appear at the lower left and right, and the denomination ПЯТЬДЕСЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ is set in bold letterpress across the lower portion. |
