A central medallion carries an ornate circular vignette with Arabic script identifying the Azerbaijani Republic, flanked symmetrically by arabesque cartouches bearing the numeral 50 in stylised Perso-Arabic script on the left and the numeral 50 in Cyrillic-accompanied Western numerals on the right. The Cyrillic header АЗЕРБАЙДЖАНСКАЯ РЕСПУБЛИКА runs along the top margin, serial numbers and series designation appear at the lower left and right, and the denomination ПЯТЬДЕСЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ is set in bold letterpress across the lower portion. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is printed in the same brown and olive-green palette, with an identical geometric guilloche border. A large central arabesque cartouche displays the Arabic numeral 50 in bold decorative script, flanked by two pointed oval vignettes each containing the Western numeral 50. To the left of the central motif, the Cyrillic text states that the note circulates on a par with Russian credit notes, while Arabic script to the right carries the equivalent declaration.
