Two signature lines below the vignette read "LE GOUVERNEUR" and "UN CENSEUR", each with a facsimile manuscript signature.

A multicolour guilloche underprint in orange, yellow, and green tones fills the field, with a large blank oval at right reserved for the watermark. The bank title "BANQUE DES ÉTATS DE L'AFRIQUE CENTRALE" is inscribed across the upper margin, with denomination numerals "500" at upper right and lower left.
