正面描述	The national arms of Rwanda — a shield bearing a dove, bow and arrow, and the motto REPUBLIQUE RWANDAISE / LIBERTE-COOPERATION-PROGRES — appears at left within a fine guilloche underprint. The denomination CINQ CENTS FRANCS and the clause PAYABLES A VUE are inscribed in bold intaglio lettering at centre, with the issue date below. Two facsimile signatures appear at the foot of the note, with their respective titles VICE-GOUVERNEUR and GOUVERNEUR.

背面描述	A woman balancing a large woven basket on her head is portrayed in the left vignette, rendered in fine intaglio line work against a pastoral background of cultivated fields and trees stretching to the horizon. A large guilloche rosette with the numeral 500 at centre occupies the right portion of the note. The Kinyarwanda text and denomination appear along the lower margin.
