| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bimetallic issue with a gold-colored central plug bearing a seated figure of Makemake, the principal deity of the Rapa Nui pantheon, depicted in a cross-legged posture with hands raised before the chest, rendered in low relief. The name 'Makemake' is inscribed in the field to the right of the figure. At the top of the outer ring, a stylized bird-man mask serves as a decorative element, while the legend 'ISLA DE PASCUA' arcs along the left and 'RAPA NUI' along the right of the dark outer ring. The date '2007' appears in the lower portion of the outer ring. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Easter Island has no independent monetary authority — it is a Chilean territory, and its legal tender is the Chilean peso. These "local issues" bearing Easter Island's name were produced for the collector market under a provision that allowed Chilean municipalities and territories to authorize commemorative pieces, but they were never intended for, nor saw, ordinary circulation. The X# prefix in the Standard Catalog system designates them explicitly as non-circulating fantasy issues rather than official national coinage.
