The bank name appears bilingually at the top: BANQUE NATIONALE DU RWANDA and NATIONAL BANK OF RWANDA, with the legal tender clause CE BILLET A COURS LEGAL / THIS NOTE IS LEGAL TENDER below. The denomination 5000 is repeated in each corner, with CINQ MILLE-FRANCS-FIVE THOUSAND inscribed along the lower border; a vertical windowed security thread runs near the left-centre of the note.

Opmerkingen

The P#37 is part of the series Rwanda introduced in the late 2000s as the country worked to rebuild institutional credibility following the catastrophic disruption of the 1994 genocide. Giesecke & Devrient in Munich handled production — the firm has printed Rwandan currency across multiple generations of the national series.

The "Printed: 30.04.1945" date in the source data is clearly a cataloging error and should be disregarded entirely.
