| Obverse description | Orange-ground notgeld issued on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of Ansbach (1221–1921), printed in black letterpress. To the left, the municipal coat of arms of Ansbach bearing three fish over diagonal wavy lines is flanked by the commemorative dates '1221' and '1921'; the large numeral '75' and the denomination legend 'PFENNIG' appear above. The right half carries the multi-line inscription identifying the note as a Jubiläums-Notgeld, with a wavy red serial-number overprint at centre, validity clause, and the issuing authority line 'STADTRAT 12·8·21' followed by a facsimile signature and the title 'RECHTSK. Ansbach's 1921 Notgeld issue belongs to the peak wave of German municipal emergency currency, when thousands of local authorities flooded the country with small-denomination paper to compensate for a catastrophic shortage of circulating coin. The Stadtrat's decision to engage a local designer rather than outsource to one of the major Notgeld printers — Koenig & Bauer, Giesecke & Devrient, and others handled enormous volumes of this work — kept production regional and gave the series a distinctly hand-crafted character.
Willy Flach is not a name that appears in any major printmaking reference, which suggests a municipal commission rather than a professional engraving house appointment.
