The ethnic legend ΚΟΛ is inscribed in the upper field, while the magistrate's name ΠΑΝΤΑΓΝΩΤΟΣ is rendered in the exergue in Greek characters. The composition reflects the vigorous equestrian type common to Ionian civic bronzes of the late fourth and early third century BC. |
