Beschrijving voorzijde Bare or laureate head of Augustus facing right, depicted in the mature imperial style characteristic of provincial Hispanian coinage. The portrait shows strong facial modeling with a prominent nose and chin, typical of Augustan official portraiture. The surrounding legend AVGVSTVS DIVI F (Augustus, Son of the Divine) runs clockwise around the periphery in incuse Latin capitals. The field is flat and unadorned, with the legend nearly filling the available space around the bust. The die work reflects the competent but provincial engraving tradition of the Caesaraugusta mint.
Schrift voorzijde Latin

Beschrijving keerzijde A standard or military signum (legionary standard) stands upright at center, depicted as a pole surmounted by an eagle or decorative finial with crossbar and hanging phalerae or medallions. The field is plain on either side of the standard. The legend CAESARAVGVSTA, identifying the colonial mint city, appears in the outer circle, while the names and titles of the two duoviri monetales — M. PORCI and CN. FAD — along with the designation II VIR, are distributed around the periphery in Latin capitals. The reverse reflects the civic pride of the Roman colony of Caesaraugusta and its local magistrates responsible for issuing the coinage.
