Reverse description A highly stylised lion or predatory feline is depicted facing left, with its body rendered in bold, abstracted Celtic fashion; the creature's mane, limbs, and tail are indicated by deeply cut, curvilinear lines and hatched panels. Flanking the central beast are vertical panels of parallel lines or stylised vegetation, filling the field to both sides. The overall design is characteristic of late Iron Age British die-cutting, combining zoomorphic imagery with geometric decorative elements. No border of beads is visible on this face, the flan being irregular in outline.
