Flanking the central beast are vertical panels of parallel lines or stylised vegetation, filling the field to both sides. The overall design is characteristic of late Iron Age British die-cutting, combining zoomorphic imagery with geometric decorative elements. No border of beads is visible on this face, the flan being irregular in outline. |
