| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field features a single horizontal line of text set between two beaded lines, forming a band across the coin. The name ECBERTVS, referencing Count Egbert I, appears within this central band alongside the term MOTA. An outer circular legend surrounds the entire design. The lettering is rendered in a crude Romanesque style typical of Frisian hammered coinage of the mid-eleventh century. |
