Beschrijving voorzijde	Hound standing right in profile, rendered with naturalistic musculature, set upon a plain ground line. A murex shell appears to the right of the animal in the field. The composition reflects the local Elymian artistic tradition, combining Greek engraving technique with indigenous Sicilian iconographic elements characteristic of Segestan coinage of this period.

Beschrijving keerzijde	Head of the nymph Aigiste facing right, depicted with finely rendered curling hair bound with a wreath or diadem, executed in a style strongly influenced by contemporary Syracusan coinage. An ivy branch appears both above and below the head, framing the design. The ethnic legend EΓEΣTAION curves around the periphery of the field in archaic Greek script, identifying the issuing city of Segesta.
