| Beschrijving keerzijde | A slow quadriga proceeds to the left above a ground line, driven by a charioteer; behind the driver stands the Great King of Persia in an erect posture, his right hand raised in a gesture of authority. To the rear of the chariot, the Sidonian king Abd'Ashtart (Straton I) follows on foot, attired in Egyptian ceremonial dress and carrying a cult sceptre in one hand and a votive libation vase in the other. A Phoenician inscription identifying the king appears in the field. |
