| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse bears a multi-line Arabic inscription occupying the central field, recording the mint name (Misr/Egypt) and the regnal year in the Islamic Hijri calendar. The legend is arranged in stacked horizontal registers in fluid Ottoman naskh script. A beaded border frames the design at the coin's periphery, consistent with contemporary Ottoman provincial hammered coinage. The numeral 1171 (AH), corresponding to 1758 CE, is prominently displayed in the lower portion of the field. |

Mustafa III came to the throne in 1757 following the death of Osman III, inheriting an empire increasingly strained by military reversals and provincial autonomy. The Misr mint in Cairo operated as a semi-independent production center during this period, with local beys exercising considerable influence over coin output — a dynamic that would eventually culminate in the near-total political separation of Egypt from Istanbul by century's end.
