The bank title BANK OF LIBYA runs along the upper border, with the legal tender clause immediately below; the statutory inscription referencing King Idris I and Law No. 4 of 5th February 1963 appears at the foot. Denomination panels £1/4 are repeated in each corner within ornate cartouches. |
