This is a private currency issued by Transition Town Totnes and endorsed by Totnes Chamber of Commerce. It has no official value, but may, by mutual consent, be treated as roughly equivalent to £1. Many Totnes businesses accept Totnes Pounds in full or part payment. Go to www.transitiontowns.org/Totnes for a current list, or look out for "Totnes Pounds Accepted Here" signs.
