The figure is rendered in a stylized Byzantine manner typical of Bulgarian trachy coinage of the fourteenth century. The Christogram IC-XC appears divided across the field to either side of the bust. The overall composition follows standard Byzantine iconographic conventions adapted by the Vidin mint workshop. |
