| Opis rewersu | A retrograde and open staurogram (tau-rho monogram), the principal device set in the central field with a star positioned to either side, the entire design enclosed within a beaded or laurel wreath border. The staurogram, a Christological symbol, is rendered in reverse orientation, consistent with the die-cutting practices of barbarous Germanic workshops of the post-Roman period. |
