Aanvullende informatie

The International Civil Aviation Organization, a UN specialized agency headquartered in Montreal, celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2014 — making this 2017 issue a somewhat delayed commemorative in that lineage. Papua New Guinea joined ICAO as an independent state following its 1975 independence, and its participation in international aviation governance carries real weight for a country whose remote highland communities depend almost entirely on light aircraft for access to basic services.
