| 备注 |
The Compañia de Obras Públicas y Fomento del Perú was a private infrastructure concessionaire — not a bank — granted note-issuing privileges as part of its arrangement with the Peruvian state during the 1870s boom in public works financing. That arrangement collapsed spectacularly. Peru's guano revenues were already in steep decline, the War of the Pacific was four years away but the fiscal stress that would enable it was already accumulating, and quasi-private paper of this kind was among the first casualties when confidence broke.
ABNC produced the plates in New York. Surviving examples from this issuer are genuinely uncommon.
