The PVV was the Flemish liberal party, and these "campaign notes" — printed in denominations mimicking Belgian National Bank francs — were issued as propaganda novelties during the 1963–65 electoral period, not as currency. The pairing of Dries Dequae and P.H. Spaak as signatories is a deliberate political statement: Dequae was a prominent Belgian liberal politician, while Paul-Henri Spaak, though primarily associated with the Socialist Party and European integration, lent broader rhetorical weight to the liberal economic messaging these notes carried.
The Dutch-text version distinguishes this example from a parallel French-language issue targeting Walloon audiences — two distinct printings for one campaign.
