| Descrizione del rovescio | Central intaglio vignette of the Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario in Bogotá, rendered in fine line engraving with the colonial-era facade and bell tower clearly articulated. To the lower centre, a vignette of an open manuscript scroll is set against elaborate guilloche lacework borders in green and lilac. The upper centre carries a circular medallion with a female allegorical figure, and the arms of Bogotá appear at left, all within an ornate frame typical of De La Rue intaglio production. |
