The bank title 'De Javasche Bank' appears in large display lettering at centre, above the bearer clause 'Betaalt — Aan — Toonder' and the denomination 'VIJF EN TWINTIG GULDEN' in bold letterpress. Below the denomination, the issue place and date 'Batavia, 31 Juni 1908' are inscribed, flanked by the signature captions 'Secretaris' and 'President', with the bank monogram at the foot centre. |

Four blank rectangular panels, intended for serial numbers or overprints, are positioned in the corners, while two diamond-shaped cartouches bearing the numeral '25' appear at left and right, all set against a light wavy-line underprint in the Art Nouveau style. |
