| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse is printed in reddish-brown tones on cream paper and is framed by an elaborate Art Nouveau guilloche border with interlaced foliate scrollwork and numerals 25 in the corners. The bank title 'De Javasche Bank' appears in large display lettering at centre, above the bearer clause 'Betaalt — Aan — Toonder' and the denomination 'VIJF EN TWINTIG GULDEN' in bold letterpress. Below the denomination, the issue place and date 'Batavia, 31 Juni 1908' are inscribed, flanked by the signature captions 'Secretaris' and 'President', with the bank monogram at the foot centre. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is printed in green and brown tones on cream paper and displays a large central vignette of a five-pointed star rendered in fine intaglio line engraving, enclosing the interlaced 'JB' bank monogram at its heart within a circular guilloche surround. Four blank rectangular panels, intended for serial numbers or overprints, are positioned in the corners, while two diamond-shaped cartouches bearing the numeral '25' appear at left and right, all set against a light wavy-line underprint in the Art Nouveau style. |
